JEFFrey DOUGLAS
Jeffrey A. Douglas is the Principal, Founder and sole owner of Douglas Design Studio, an award-winning luxury interior design firm based in Toronto. For more than 30 years, Jeffrey has created highly personalized interiors for luxury residences, custom homes and major renovations.
Jeffrey combines creative vision with expertise in interior architecture, space planning, custom detailing and furnishings. His design sensibility is informed by a lifelong passion for fine art, architecture, furniture and international travel. He is particularly known for combining antiques, art and collected pieces with contemporary furnishings to create sophisticated, layered interiors that feel both established and fresh.
A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), Jeffrey founded Douglas Design Studio in 1995 and has since led the design of hundreds of residential interiors. His work has received numerous Canadian and international design awards, including recognition from ARIDO and the International Design & Architecture Awards, and has been featured in publications including Interior Design Magazine, Canadian House & Home, Style at Home, Interiors and Design New York.
Jeffrey is also a furniture designer and launched the Jeffrey Douglas Studio Line in 2016 after creating bespoke pieces for his clients for more than two decades.
Rather than imposing a signature look, Jeffrey approaches each project individually, creating enduring interiors that reflect his clients' architecture, collections, lifestyles and personal tastes.

Gordana Di Monte is Creative Director at Douglas Design Studio. Since 2008 she has led the decor portfolio, lending her discerning eye towards interior finishings that are at once luxe, refined and surprising.
christina ballarino
With more than 20 years at Douglas Design Studio, Christina plays an integral role in the leadership and operations of the firm. Overseeing finance, human resources, marketing and general operations, she provides the strategic and organizational foundation that supports the studio’s continued success.
NEIL SHOBHANADRY
With a background in architecture and interior design, Neil has overseen a diverse collection of projects ranging from commercial and residential ventures to customized digital models and concepts. With a passion for health and fitness he believes that every new project is a blank canvas for us to showcase our creative promise.
Joann Lin
Joann is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer and ARIDO member, with experience across Toronto, the United States, China, and Italy. She brings an international perspective to her work, with an appreciation for materiality, craftsmanship, and refined detailing.
Her interests extend to furniture design, where she enjoys exploring the relationship between form, function, and the overall character of an interior.
Hrithick Mahajan
With a background in architecture and interior design, Hrithick brings a creative and forward-thinking approach to each project. He enjoys developing compelling visual ideas, exploring refined details and taking on new design challenges. His architectural experience brings a strong sense of proportion, materiality and composition to thoughtfully crafted interiors.
Caitlin Novello
With a background in interior design and fine arts, Caitlin is a passionate designer known for her creativity and attention to detail. A lifelong figure skater from Sault Ste. Marie, she brings a balance of form, beauty, precision, and dedication to creating spaces that blend aesthetics with functionality.
Sara Parra Alonso
Sara is a recent George Brown College graduate who brings a detail-oriented and creative approach to her work. She enjoys drafting, space planning, and taking on design challenges that require thoughtful problem-solving, while bringing a fresh perspective to every project.
MANDY SMAJDA
With her attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction, Mandy brings over 10 years of purchasing and coordinating experience with Douglas Design Studio. As the main contact for quotes and orders, she is an asset in handling complex logistics.
