Douglas Design Studio has been selected as a finalist for the SBID International Design Awards for the category ‘Residential Interior Design Over 100K’. Working in tandem with an architect and interior designer, our role as the interior designer was to sculpt the interior and detail intricate columns, arches, vaulted ceilings, and tiles.
One of the elements making this home unique is the extensive use of solid, hand-carved Syrian limestone throughout. Sourcing and purchasing the stone off-shore came with many challenges, as all cutting and carving were completed prior to shipping. Precise measurement and pre-planning were crucial to the success of the design.
